Chris & Pitts Bar-B-Q

While I was surfing the net, I found a well-reviewed Bar-B-Q place near my office.
I went there at the lunch time.
Well, I can't believe I could find a place like that.
Food was nice, not the best I've ever had.
The ambient was very country-tic place.
I couldn't believe I am in 20 mile south Los Angeles.
I feel like I am in the past 1960 in the middle of nowhere in Kansas. (Not that I was here on 1960 and Kansas.- I hope you get the point.)

It is their "No. 4" of many restaurant in Southen California.
They have been open since 1940's.

I will be visiting soon again for different dishes.

Chargers Season Home Opener

From Chargers

From Chargers

Chargers defeated Tennessee Titans 33 to nothing when I left the stadium.

The excitement was much higer than baseball games I went to (except Yankees).
LT was the man of the game along with Rivers and Merrimam

Wine of the Week - LA Times

WINE OF THE WEEK

2004 La Spinetta Ca' di Pian Barbera d'Asti

S. Irene Virbila
September 13, 2006

Giorgio Rivetti, who's known for his fresh, lively Moscato d'Asti under the La Spinetta label, muscled his way into the high stakes world of Piedmontese reds with Pin, a brilliant blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera.

With the 2001 vintage he introduced a terrific Barbera d'Asti called Ca' di Pian. The 2004 is his third vintage, and it's just made for 'cue. A deep black purple in color with loads of fruit and a lively acidity, Ca' di Pian loves charred meats, salumi and pasta. You could go traditional and serve it with a chicken cacciatore or rabbit with peppers cooked in Barbera, and your guests would thank you for it. But you could also just pop the cork and drink.

Quick swirl

Region: Piedmont, Italy

Price: About $19

Style: Vibrant and juicy

Food it goes with: Salumi, barbecue, rabbit in Barbera

Where you find it: Wine Exchange in Orange, (714) 974-1454 and (800) 769-4639; and Woodland Hills Wine Co. in Woodland Hills, (818) 222-1111.
